Guardian criticizes Britain rejection to file separation wall issue to ICJ
Palestine-UK, Politics, 1/31/2004

British Guardian Newspaper criticized the British government's rejection to submit the issue of the building the Israeli wall of separation in the West Bank to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) despite describing the wall as illegitimate.

In an article issued Friday, the newspaper traced the government's stance back to its fear from being questioned about the legitimacy of the British participation in the war on Iraq.

For his part Chairman of the Arab-British Understanding Council, Chris Dwell, rejected the British stance, accusing the British government of abandoning its responsibilities regarding the Palestinian cause.

He also stressed that the Israeli wall of separation is one of the issues that should be discussed at the International Court of Justice.
