Law on Moroccan audio-visual sector liberalization to enter in force in 2004
Morocco, Politics, 1/30/2004

Moroccan communication minister, Nabil Benabdellah, said the law on the liberalization of the audio-visual sector will enter in force in 2004.

Benabdellah told the Moroccan TV channel 'TVM' the law will be submitted to parliament in the spring session after its adoption by the ministers' council. Under the new law, foreign capital will be allowed in the Moroccan audio-visual sector in a bid to consolidate ongoing democratization in Morocco, political pluralism and civil freedoms.
