One day before the exchange of prisoners, Israeli planes fly over Tyre in south Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 1/29/2004
Israeli planes flew over south Lebanon yesterday, one day before the set date to exchange prisoners between Israel and Hizbullah at a German mediation.
People of the area reported that the Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over the city of Tyre, in south Lebanon, and no reports were issued immediately over Hizbullah firing anti planes weapons.
Israeli planes flow regularly over Lebanon since the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces which lasted for 22 years of the south in the year 2000 under the pressure of the attacks of Hizbullah party.
The UN considered the Israeli sorties and the retaliation fire from the side of the Hizbullah party a violation of Israel's withdrawal, and urged for tranquility at the border where clashes erupted several times in recent months.
