Two Iraqis killed in Karkouk and one American soldier in Tikrit; One American helicopter crashed in al-Musil

Witnesses in al-Musil city to the north of Iraq said that one American helicopter crashed yesterday evening in the city. Iraqi police men and American soldiers said that one helicopter crashed after it collided with an electricity column. The occupants fell in the water of the Tigris.
The American forces imposed a security belt at the site of the incident, but no casualties are so far known.
Two American soldiers were killed on Friday in a reconnaissance helicopter crash near al-Qayyara town to the north of Iraq. The incident represented an extension for a series of helicopters incidents crashed in Iraq.
Meantime, one Iraqi police officer and car driver were killed and several others wounded in two separate incidents that took place in Karkouk city to the north of Iraq.
The Iraqi officer was killed when an explosive went off at Karkouk- Debs road, while the driver was killed by bullets fired by the American forces when he tried to bypass an American military vehicle in Karkouk.
In a separate incident, one of the Kurdistani National Federation party offices, chaired by Jalal al-Talibani, was exposed to a missile attack on Sunday evening that missed the target and hit instead one of the deserted houses; no casualties were reported.
In Tikrit, a spokeswoman for the American forces announced the death of one American soldier of wounds he had on Sunday after his vehicle was attacked by RPG shelling to the north of the city, noting that the American soldiers retaliated the attack and arrested 6 attackers.
The spokeswoman also announced that the American army launched on Sunday evening a campaign of arrest near Baqouba to the north of Baghdad, during which 46 Iraqis were arrested and 58 machineguns confiscated.
