AL denies news on detaining Israelis trying to enter AL premises
Regional-Israel, Politics, 1/22/2004

The spokesman for the Arab League's Secretary General dismissed as groundless news on the detention of two Israelis who tried to enter the League's premises on Monday, claiming they were reporters.

The spokesman explained that a team of photographers of various nationalities, including the Israeli one, was supposed to hold a series of meetings, with the League's Secretary General but those meetings were cancelled because of the chief's engagements and ongoing preparations for the Slovak President's visit to the League's headquarters.
