One Palestinian woman killed; 700 dunnums to be confiscated; Omar Suleiman in Ramullah next week

A Palestinian official said that the chairman of the Palestinian intelligence, Omar Suleiman, will visit Ramullah next week to meet with the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, while one Palestinian woman was killed and other 8 Palestinians wounded in Rafah by the occupation forces which notified Palestinian families that they area about to confiscate some 700 dunnums of their lands in Gaza.
Arafat's advisor, Nabil Abu Rudinah, said that the visit of Lt. Gen. Suleiman "confirm continued Egyptian efforts at all levels in order to serve the Palestinian issue, and to preserve the rights of the Palestinian people," while a Palestinian source said that Suleiman will be arriving "next Tuesday."
The Palestinian al-Quds newspaper said that Suleiman will brief Arafat on latest developments relating to contacts made by Cairo to end the state of stalemate in the peace process, means of halting the Israeli aggressions and invasions against the Palestinian territories and continued building of the wall.
Meantime, a judiciary center and several Palestinians said that the occupation army on Tuesday notified owners of hundreds of dunnums of lands in Deir al-Balah, in the center of Gaza, of preparations to confiscate them. The Palestinian center for human rights said in a statement that the Israeli authorities "handed over yesterday written notifications to ten Palestinian families that own agricultural land to the northern east of Kafar Daroum settlement, to the east of Deir al-Balah, informing them of the intention of these forces to confiscate these lands for military purposes." The center indicated that the Israeli forces "informed the owners verbally the moment the notifications were conveyed that the aim of confiscating their lands is to establish Israeli security establishments and gave a seven- day grace period to the owners of the agricultural lands to object to the confiscation orders."
The areas intended to be confiscated are estimated at 700 dunnums, besides this measure will lead to completely isolate 28 Palestinian families from their surrounding. Meantime, Palestinian medical sources said that Mona Ali Ismael ( 31 year old) was killed as she was hit in a bullet in her head fired by the Israeli soldiers during an incursion operation into Rafah camp. The sources indicated that "her sister Manal was also hit in her back and other young man from the same family was hit in his arm." Moreover, 4 Palestinians, three children and one woman were hit by the Israeli army fire in Rafah, while three Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli soldiers bullets near Ghoushe Katif settlement to the south of Gaza. A spokesman for the Israeli army said that 13 Palestinians chased by the Israeli security forces were detained on Tuesday evening in the West Bank.
In Rafah, Egypt, border guards said that some 900 Palestinians heading for Gaza were arrested yesterday along the Egyptian borders because of tightened Israeli security measures on the border.
