Regional-Vatican, Politics, 1/22/2004
Pope John Paul II on Tuesday renewed call for making peace in the world and abandoning all forms of conflicts and wars. The Pope told pilgrimage and tourists at St. Peter Square that the world is in urgent need for peace, adding that establishing peace by improper means through the use of force puts humanity under a state of fear, concern and doubt.
The Pontiff also called for the unity of church in the world with all its eastern and western sects, stressing importance of such unity to boost world peace.
