Saudi Mufti deplores removing the veil in a conference in Jeddah, King nephew accuses his government of kidnapping him

Prince Sultan Bin Turkey Bin Abdul Aziz, son of the brother of King Fahd, issued a statement in which he unveiled what he called details of his kidnapping operation from Geneva to Riyadh on July 12.
In his statement, Prince Sultan accused prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz and the Islamic affairs minister, Saleh al-Khaleifa, over responsibility for " his kidnapping operation to Saudi Arabia." Prince Sultan said he was dragged to King Fahd Palace in Geneva and during his meeting with prince Abdul Aziz and al-Sheikh, five men with covered faces came and beat him and he was arrested and taken in a private plane to Riyadh.
In his statement, prince Sultan considered that the Saudi government is responsible for implementing the justice and called for the trial of Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Fahd and al-Sheikh over their responsibility for the operation.
On the other hand, prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, chairman of the Gulf program in support of the UN development establishments, said that political reforms in Saudi Arabia were approved and will be announced at set times. In a statement, prince Talal said in Paris that that reforms will be comprehensive and he is very optimistic.
In the same context, the Mufti of Saudi Arabia strongly criticized a group of Saudi women who appeared unveiled in an economic conference in Jeddah recently. The Mufti also deplored that Saudi women mixed with the men.
The Saudi Mufti also deplored publishing pictures of those women as this is "bad and violates Sharia status." Several Saudi women made use of Jeddah economic forum which wrapped up its works on Monday to ask the authorities in Riyadh to start political and social reforms because without these reforms the country will not witness genuine progress.
