Arab Follow up committee meets in February
Regional, Politics, 1/21/2004

News reports in Cairo said quoting well-informed sources in the Arab League that the Arab follow up committee of the Arab summit will hold its meeting on February 9th.

The news reports added that the committee which is attended by nine countries in addition to the secretary general of the Arab League will discuss following up the implementation of Sharm Esh Sheikh resolutions in 2003, pertaining to the Palestinian issue and the development of conditions in Iraq and Somalia.

The meeting is held one day before the meeting of the Arab foreign ministers to discuss the proposal to develop the Arab League. The Arab league is currently embarking on formulating a new paper concerning the Arab- Israeli conflict, on the ground of the Arab peace initiative which was approved at the Arab Beirut summit in 2002.
