One Israeli soldier was killed, one wounded in south Lebanon

The Hizbullah party announced that its fighters opened fire at an Israeli military bulldozer in South Lebanon and destroyed it when it crossed the international borders in Marohin town in the western sector of south Lebanon.

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation forces said that one Israeli soldier was killed and another wounded in a bomb explosion that hit an Israeli bulldozer.

In a statement, the Hizbullah party said that the "Islamic resistance fired one missile that targeted an Israeli bulldozer while running towards the Lebanese territories with the aim to carry out engineering works and hit it directly."

News reports in Lebanon said that the consequences of the incident lies in that it took place in a generally calm area, and outside the confines of the Shebaa farm which usually witnesses confrontation between the Hizbullah and the occupation forces.

The party considered that such a behavior constitutes a "land violation carried out by the occupation forces," noting that this is not the first time in which the occupation forces cross the borders towards the Lebanese lands.

The spokesman for UNIFIL, Milos Shtiger, confirmed that the incident took place on the border in Marohin in Burket Risha, noting that his forces are investigating the incidents.

The Lebanese police said that three Israeli helicopters flew over Marohin area where the incident took place, and over all villages of their western Bekaa.
