al-Dustour: Palestinians commend Syria's position to wards their cause

Chairman of the Political Department at the Palestinian Liberation Organization, Farouk al-Qaddoumi, stressed that the US has no right to put Syria under accountability.

In an interview with the Jordanian al-Dustour newspaper published Sunday, al-Qaddoumi said the Israeli occupation of the Arab lands represents the most dangerous form of terrorism which is rejected by the UN charter, pointing out that Israel is practicing all forms of terrorism in the occupied Palestinian lands.

He added the region is under very critical situation, due to continued American occupation of Iraq, and Israeli occupation of the Arab lands, indicating that this situation would lead to growing national resistance.

For his part, Secretary General of al- Baath Arab Progressive Party in Jordan, Fuad Dabbour, stressed that Syria's call to resume peace negotiations emerges from Syria's strong position represented by its Arab-backed firm and national stances.

Dabbour added that Syria dealt with the peace process since Madrid Conference frankly and with transparency, while Israel dealt with the process with "cheap and baseless evasive calls."
