Al-Youm: Efforts to end human rights violations in Iraq

Iraqi Human Rights Minister, Abdul Basset al-Turki said there is continued contacts with the American occupation troops to end their violation of human rights in the country.
Turki told Saudi "Al-Youm" daily newspaper, in an interview published Sunday, that a committee has been set up to file a list with names of Iraqi prisoners in jails, and work out a mechanism to follow up on their treatment.
The Iraqi official called for more Arab support to secure stability in Iraq, praising the efforts of the Arab League Secretary General to maintain Iraq's unity. He also said a national conference for Iraqi non-governmental organizations is scheduled over the next few days to enact a draft law for the protection of human rights in Iraq.
