AL chief confers with Irish FM

Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, and Irish Foreign Minister, Brian Cowen, discussed Saturday the latest developments in the Middle East, particularly in the occupied Palestinian lands and the needed European role to achieve progress in the Palestinian cause.
Moussa and Cowen, whose country is the EU duty president, reviewed the situation on the Iraqi arena, and efforts rendered to transfer authority to the Iraqis. Means of boosting Arab-European relations were also discussed.
