Some 360,000 pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia

A Saudi Arabian official source announced that more than 360,000 pilgrims arrived so far in Saudi Arabia to take part in the annual al-Haj season, which starts this year by the beginning of February.
The director of passports department, Abdul Aziz Bin Jamil Sajeini, said that " the number of pilgrims who arrived in Beitullah al-Haram from outside the Kingdom until ( last) Sunday reached 368,975 pilgrims," but he did not refer to which countries these pilgrims came from. He explained that 363,704 arrived by air; 4530 by land and 741 by the sea.
According to official statistics, some 1,924 million pilgrims took part in the rituals of al-Haj rituals for 2003.
