Contacts between Egypt, Libya to solve visa problem restores normalcy

Libya yesterday denied it had imposed entry visas on Egyptian citizens into its land, and described it as "mere lies and groundless." Libya also said that some 500 Egyptians entered Libya on Saturday without entry visas, at a time when officials from the two sides tried to contain the crisis between the two states.
Libyan official sources said that about 500 Egyptians entered Libya on Saturday without visas, The sources told the Libyan radio that 460 arrived in the land borders, and at Tripoli's International airport without any problems.
The Egyptian minister of information Safwat al-Sharif remarked that the Libyan authorities are angry over the strong criticism addressed by the Egyptian papers to Libya, but he said that relations between the two states are strong. In statements quoted by MENA, the Egyptian minister rejected distortions of Libya's leader by the Egyptian press.
A high ranking Libyan official arrived yesterday in Cairo from Tripoli, on top of a delegation in a visit to Egypt that lasts for two days, during which the delegation will hold with several Egyptian officials talks on how to eliminate the crisis.
