Asefi underlines regional coordination over Iraq

Official spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Hamid Reza Asefi, has stressed the importance of coordination and consultation among all the region's states, particularly, among Iraq's neighboring states, for maintaining Iraq's territorial integrity and independence.
In a press conference in Tehran on Sunday, he expressed hope that the Iraqi people would form a unified government, including all parties in the country.
He underlined that accusations directed by the US, Israel, and the western media against the Islamic countries "aim at covering the continuous crimes, suppressive and genocide practices perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people."
