Maher says Israeli accusations against Syria show true intentions
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 1/10/2004

Egypt's Foreign Minister, Ahmed Maher, stressed that the Israeli provocative threats and statements directed by Israeli officials against Syria, reflect a large gap between Syria's desire to resume peace negotiations from the point it stopped, and to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, and between the Israeli attempts to hinder the peace process.

In a statement today, Maher called on Israel to resume peace negotiations on the Syrian track, and to act seriously to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region in line with the international law.
