IT exports to rise to $500 million annually

Egypt, as one of most important hubs in the Middle East and North Africa, expects the value of IT exports to reach $500 million annually over the next three years compared to $200 million at present, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Ahmed Nazif said yesterday.
The number of IT firms operating in Egypt has doubled over the last three years to some 1,000 employing around 40,000 skilled workers, he added.
