Iranian businessmen invited to invest in Morocco

The Moroccan government has invited Iranian businessmen and private sector to invest in Morocco due to the opportunities provided by the Kingdom in various sectors as well as its geographic proximity to the European market, and its cultural relations with Africa.
Also, Iranian commerce minister, Mustapha Mechahouri, deplored, the weak trade level compared to the "excellent political and cultural relations" between Rabat and Tehran. He explained that Morocco ranks 51st among Iran's customers and 72nd among Iran's suppliers, noting in this respect that 192 Iranian products destined to exports reach Morocco via other markets for a total cost of US$ 1.8 million while for more than US$ 2 million, 136 Moroccan products have access to the Iranian market through other countries.
