Iraqi killed, American soldiers wounded in Baghdad explosion
Iraq-USA, Military, 1/6/2004
Four American soldiers were wounded in two separate attacks for the Iraqi resistance. A spokesman for the occupation forces in Iraq said the four soldiers were wounded on Sunday, and the first attack took place in Tikrit, to the north of Baghdad, when Iraqi gunmen attacked an on-foot patrol and wounded one of its soldiers.
In the second attack, three American soldiers were wounded, when a bomb targeted them at Beiji city to the west of Baghdad.
In northern Iraq, one explosive went off in one of the main streets outside the city of Karkouk, and as a result, one Iraqi was killed and three wounded. The Iraqi police said the explosive targeted what seemed to be a patrol for the American army.
In the same context, the police in Karkouk said that it had foiled an attempt to launch two missiles at the headquarters of the American forces in the city, after they found two Katyusha missiles with their launchers, directed at Karkouk airport, where the headquarters of the occupation forces is located.
