Bush renews sanctions on Libya
Libya-USA, Politics, 1/6/2004

US President George W. Bush announced yesterday the U.S. will keep the sanctions imposed on Libya, but expressed hope to improve these relations if Libya will keep its promises to get rid off its chemical and nuclear weapons program.

Bush said in a statement issued by the White House that " with Libya's taking tangible steps to deal with our concern, the USA will, for its part, take tangible steps as an assessment to the progress in the Libyan position."
