Electronic ID card system started in Oman

Oman started Electronic ID card system for citizens to provide necessary data and services in a more organized, adequate and easy way for citizens, expatriates, government and civil bodies. Sayyid Saud bin Ibrahim al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, told Oman News Agency (ONA) that " such information would help in carrying out tasks like Majlis A'shura elections, population census and other projects."
