Oman pharmaceutical company opens; 4 billion dollars size of Gulf market

The Raysut Industrial Estate today opened the Oman pharmaceutical products factory worth US 50 million dollars, ONA reported.

"Mustahail bin Salim Kushoub, FactoryÕs senior manager gave the management speech in which he said the governmentÕs support to industry had encouraged them to successfully complete this project," the report said adding that "the pharmaceutical products market is developing all over the world and that the Gulf marketÕs capital in this field is estimated at US$ 4 billion."

The report added "Even though, some well-known pharmaceutical products companies operate in the AGCC states, some medicines are still imported from other countries of the world, he added and that "the factory was established to meet the requirements of medicines in the Sultanate and the other AGCC states. it will produce high quality products labeled (made in the Sultanate of Oman) to compete in international markets."
