Turkish officials and al-Assad's expected visit

Political, social and public circles welcomed on Friday President al-Assad's forthcoming visit to Turkey, stressing that it will be fruitful and successful.

In statements to SANA correspondent in Ankara, Chairman of the Turkish- Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Association, Jawish Oglo, and Secretary General of the Human Rights in Turkey, Amerly Turkman, underlined that President al-Assad's visit doesn't only serve the interests of both peoples, but it also serves the interests of peoples in the whole world.

He also pointed out that this visit will contribute to achieving peace and security in the Middle East, stressing the importance of the Syrian-Turkish relations in as far as peace is concerned.

He expressed belief that the visit will be a turning point in the Syrian-Turkish relations, and will contribute to developing relations of cooperation between the two neighboring countries in all domains.
