Sultan Qaboos presides over Arabian horse race

Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said "presided over the annual Royal horse racing festival at Madinat Al Adiyat in Seeb" yesterday, the official news agency ONA reported yesterday.
Five races took place. "The first race called Saih al Hasanat for thoroughbred horses for 1600 mtrs was won by a horse named Wadhaa from the Royal Cavalry. A horse called A'zimah from the Royal Cavalry came second and a horse called Bawariq from the Royal Cavalry came third," ONA reported.
It added "This was followed by mares and colts, dancing horses and coaches musical drive and polo horses display. Then the second race called Saih Al Khayrat for Pure Arabian horses for 1100 mtrs kicked off. A filly named Al Fardous from the Royal Cavalry came first."
