Morocco, Iran to organize cultural days

Morocco and Iran intend to organize cultural days to exchange experiences in educational and cultural realms, Moroccan higher education and scientific research minister, Khalid Alioua, has told MAP.
A Moroccan delegation grouping university deans and directors have scheduled a visit to Iran to prepare for the first edition, to be held in Rabat.
The cultural days will be dedicated to the Moroccan and Iranian heritages in addition to cultural and artistic activities, notably expos of books, plastic arts and calligraphy.
Alioua added at the end of a visit to Iran, the two countries agreed on exchanging experiences in manuscripts restoration, education and fighting illiteracy.
Meantime, a Moroccan plane carrying a medical team of 20 surgeons and trauma specialists flew Monday to Iran to participate in the rescue operations following the earthquake that hit the country Friday.
The Moroccan plane, a Boeing 757, also transported humanitarian aid and equipment offered by the charity foundation Mohammed V for Solidarity.
