The press and printing council in Sudan received a request from the security department asking to withdraw the license offered to al-Jazeera TV office in Khartoum.
The chairman of the council said in a statement that the council will consider the request, and it will summon the other side, represented in the director of the office of the al-Jazeera tv in Khartoum for interrogation.
He added that the law gives the council several authorities regarding monitoring of press performance, including the recommendation to withdraw licenses, made at a judicial order.
