The Saudi news agency said that what is called "the second intellectual meeting for national dialogue" will be launched today, with the participation of more than 60 scholars and intellectuals and other 15 researchers in the political, cultural and media fields.
Activities of the meeting will be held in Mecca and will last for five days. Chairman of the second meeting for national dialogue, Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdul Rahman al-Hassin, underlined the importance of the meeting especially as "humanity had never been exposed in all its stages to the danger of such exaggeration and extremism, as in this age." Worthy mentioning that the first meeting was held in June this year, at the initiative of the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, with the participation of representatives for the Sunni and the Shiite.
The meeting, which was held in the capital Riyadh, concluded by calling for the start of vast reforms and founding a national dialogue center.
