Lahoud briefed on preparations to construct Syrian- Lebanese joint dam project

Lebanon's President Emile Lahoud on Friday discussed with Fadi Qumeir, Lebanese Director General of Water and Electricity Department, at the Ministry of Electricity, the steps and procedures taken so far to build a joint Syrian-Lebanese dam in Noura Tahta, Akkar. Qumeir said in a statement after the meeting that all needed preliminary steps were carried out with the coordination of the Syrian-Lebanese Higher Council to complete the study and start constructing the dam soon.
