Five Palestinians, three from Jihad movement killed by Israeli raid
Palestine-Israel, Military, 12/26/2003

Four Israelis were killed and other 15 injured many in a critical health condition in a Palestinian operation that took place at a bus station in Tel Aviv. The military wing of the People's Front For the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility for the operation, and indicated that it came in retaliation to the killing of two of its activists, in by the Israeli army in Nablus last Thursday.

News reports said that the Palestinian Saed Hanani, from a village to the east of Nablus, detonated an explosives belt he wrapped around his waist, in a bus station at the cross-road near Batah Takfa town to the Northern east of Tel Aviv.

The spokesman for the Israeli government, Ave Baznbar, said that his government will take measures in order to ensure its security, but he also stressed the need of resuming talks at highest levels, to avoid what he called the emergence of grave political vacuum, stressing that the current situation proves the dangers of not having negotiations.

For his part, Kayed al-Ghoul, member of the political bureau of the People's Front For Liberation of Palestine said that the Israeli side is the side which refuses to leave civilians outside this conflict.

He said it is not logical to have the Palestinians' hands restricted, in light of the "daily crimes conducted against them." He stressed that the Palestinians are determined to resist occupation, and that the Israelis will not to prevent these attacks, as long as Sharon's government does not stop targeting Palestinian civilians.

Just few minutes before this attack, five Palestinians were killed, including three members of the Islamic Jihad and other 13 were wounded, many in a critical health condition, when Israeli helicopters bombarded a Palestinian sedan car in Gaza.

News reports in Palestine confirmed the assassination of Muqallad Hameed, leader of Saraya al-Quds ( al-Quds group), the military wing of the Islamic Jihad in Gaza, and two of his colleagues in the movement, as well as other Palestinians, including a 15- year old child.

Two missiles hit two sedan cars, one was ridden by Hameed, and this result in its immediate burning, and caused damage to several surrounding cars and several houses.

The director general of al-Shefaa hospital said that the missiles shells which hit the killed, and wounded Palestinians, said that the occupation forces are using a new type of explosives which do not cause burns, rather penetrate into the body causing fatal death. Hundreds of Palestinians gathered in front of al-Shefaa hospital demanding the execution of revenge Palestinian operations inside Israel.
