Egyptian Christian clergy deplores Israel practices against Palestinians
Egypt-Palestine, Politics, 12/26/2003

Chairman of the Bishopric Church in Egypt, Muneer Hanna Anees, denounced the Israeli aggressive and "inhuman practices against the Palestinian people," stressing that these practices contradict international law, human values, and religious doctrine.

In a speech on the occasion of Christmas yesterday, Anees stressed the Palestinian people's need for an active and immediate international help to protect them against the "Israeli inhuman practices."

For his part, Patriarch of the Coptic Catholic Church Stefanos II underlined that "the realization of peace in the region is related to the restoration of the Arab usurped rights and lands, and to the establishment of the Palestinian independent state."
