Iran to strongly retaliate if attacked by Israel
Iran-Israel, Politics, 12/24/2003
Iran's Minister of Defense and the Armed Forces Logistics Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani said on Wednesday that "Iran will give strong response if Israel ventures to attack Iranian nuclear installations," Iran's official news agency reported.
IRNA reported today that "Asked whether Iran will use Shahab-3 long range missile if Israel ventures to attack Iran, the defense minister said that Shahab-3 is one of the weapons. "We will strike Israel with all weapons at our disposal, if the Zionist regime ventures to do so." "Israel is a `fragile glass garrison`. The Zionist leaders are cherishing the dream of a rule over the globe," he said.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran will strongly deal with the action against its national territory. The Israeli threat emanates from its evil literature. It is too coward to threaten Iran," Shamkhani said, the report quoted him saying.
Asked about production of Shahab-4 missile, Shamkhani said: Iran follows a specific action plan in its defense sector to thwart any threat to the country. "Our defense strategy is sustainable," the report said.
