Baghdad favorably welcomes Morocco's participation in Iraq's reconstruction

Iraqi foreign minister has said that his country welcomes favorably Morocco and other Arab states' participation in reconstruction efforts in this war-torn country.

The Iraqi official said his visit to Morocco is part of consultations with Moroccan officials on a number of political and security issues in Iraq which "is going through a delicate and critical situation."

For Iraq, " Morocco remains a very important country to which we resort to enlighten us with the orientations of His Majesty the king and our brothers in the Kingdom given their influence and their wisdom on the Arab and Islamic Arena" said the Iraqi official who is representing his country to the High-level meeting on South-South cooperation organized by the Group of 77 (G-77).

Hoshiar Muhammad Zibari who is touring several Golf and European countries, said his tour aims at reassuring the international community that "the new Iraq" will honor its commitments and "live in harmony with Arab countries." He called on these countries to "understand" the situation his country is going through and to support it in order to help the Iraqi people overcome such a crisis.
