Morocco's fruits, vegetables exports score 48% rise

Morocco's exports of various fruits and vegetables reached 34,000 Tons by mid-December 2003, i.e. a 48% rise against last year, the department of agriculture and rural development said in a release Tuesday.
Main fruits and vegetables exports are French beans (16,500T), sweet and strong pepper (6,500T), zucchini (8,000T) and melon (900T).
Total citrus fruit exports reached by mid-December 121,000T against 113,000T last year, which is a 7% rise. The exports are mainly oranges.
Early fruits exports reached 101,000T during the same period, scoring a 25% rise in comparison with last year, the same source goes, adding that tomatoes exports increased by 15%.
