Algerian fm: King Mohammed strongly committed to Maghreb edification

Morocco's King Mohammed VI is firmly committed to edification of the Maghreb Union (UMA) said Tuesday Algerian foreign minister, Abdelaziz Belkhadem, who conveyed the sovereign a message from President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
In a statement to the press following an audience the King granted him at the royal palace of Marrakesh, Belkhadem said he sensed strong commitment of king Mohammed VI to the building of the Maghreb Union and the establishment of privileged and excellent relations between the two states.
Morocco and Algeria share the same concerns, which can only serve interests of the two brotherly peoples and contribute to the settlement of all pending issues. These issues will be settled thanks to the friendship of king Mohammed VI and President Bouteflika, he said.
The audience was attended by Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohammed Benaissa, and Algerian ambassador to Rabat, Boualam Bessayeh.
The Algerian foreign minister will be taking part in the G77"China conference held in the southern city.
