Scores killed, wounded in Baghdad explosion, 3 US soldiers wounded

Three American soldiers were wounded yesterday evening in two separate attacks that took place in Musil, to the north of Iraq, according to the Iraqi police and witnesses.

The officer in the Iraqi police, Haitham Muhammad Jamal, said that unidentified persons riding a bike, fired two RPG missiles at U.S. soldiers while they were inspecting a house under construction, in al-Hadbaa quarters north east of Musil, and this resulted in wounding two of them.

Jamal, who took part in a police patrol, cordoned the region in search of the attackers, said that one of the attackers was wounded in the incident.

On the other hand, one American soldier was wounded yesterday when unidentified persons fired mortars shels at the headquarters for the American forces situated near Musil university.
