Al-Assad refuses to comment on Saddam's capture

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad refused to comment on the capture of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, considering that his country is not concerned with this matter.
In a press conference held in Athens, al-Assad said when he was asked to comment on the detention, said "capturing Saddam Hussein is not of concern to us," stressing that there is no official Syrian answer to this question." The Syrian president called for the evacuation of the foreign forces from Iraq, and the need to restore back full freedom for the Iraqi people. He hoped that the Iraqi people will be able to vote for their constitution and choose their own government.
