Demonstrators denounce Saddam's capture; Bush: situation is difficult

The American forces yesterday killed some 11 Iraqis while trying to implant an ambush against U.S. soldiers in Sameraa town to the north of Baghdad. This is at a time when the American president admitted that the occupation forces will continue to face difficulties in Iraq, even after the arrest of the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
A statement by the U.S. army said that no human casualties were inflected among the Americans in the Sameraa operation, 100 Km to the north of Baghdad, where the statement said the attackers support Saddam Hussein.
An American military source said yesterday that one U.S. soldier was killed in a traffic accident near Baghdad, when his vehicle fell in a hole, and he also fell from it as a result.
Meantime, three American soldiers were injured yesterday when an explosive went off on the road, as one American military patrol drove by, in Tikrit, the birthplace of the toppled Iraqi President.
American army officers said that the explosive went off near the car of the soldiers, while they were in a patrol in the town, which is situated 170 Km to the north of Baghdad. The three soldiers were taken to an American military base, and their wounds were described as not serious.
Meanwhile, the U.S. President George W. Bush considered what he termed as terrorists in Iraq, still constitute a great danger to the occupation forces, which will continue to face problems there.
But Bush stressed that the American forces will stay in Iraq until the end of its mission, and asked the Iraqis to be confident that Americans will stay, despite what he described as terrorists who want to force his forces to flee away.
Meantime, Some 100 Iraqi gunmen attacked two police centers in al-Azameyah quarters, to the both of Baghdad, using heavy machine guns and RPG weapons from roofs of building surrounding the place and its ground.
Moreover, several areas in Iraq witnessed demonstrations in support for the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein after his capture. In Tikrit, a demonstration took place yesterday morning in Tikrit that included 250 students to express their support for Saddam Hussein.
The demonstration, which took the streets, chanted slogans like "we will sacrifice for Saddam by our soul and blood." This is, however, in the second days of demonstration deploring the American forces capture of Saddam Hussein. The police interfered to disperse the demonstrators by firing bullets in the air.
In Baghdad, a demonstration took the streets yesterday night, denouncing the capture of Saddam Hussein and ended in opening fire. Al-Falouja to the west of Baghdad witnessed similar demonstration, in which pictures of the captured president was raised, and the demonstrators chanted "long live Saddam."
However, the Higher Council For the Islamic Revolution organized in al- Najaf a demonstration celebrating the capture of Saddam at a time people of the city continue their celebration over Saddam's capturing.
