Khatami: Egyptian-Iranian viewpoints on Iraq, Palestine very close

Iranian President Mohamed Khatami, speaking to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA) on his return from Geneva on Friday, said that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's viewpoints on issues such as Iraq and Palestine were close to those of Iran and said that the two leaders agreed that relations between Egypt and Iran should be promoted.
