al-Ayam: Bashir underlines significance of recent Arab summit resolutions
Sudan-Regional, Politics, 12/8/2003

Sudan's President Omar Hasan al-Bashir stressed that the Arab Initiative, endorsed by Beirut Summit represents a solution to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, but Israel replied to this initiative by storming the Jenin camp because it doesn't want to achieve this peace

In an interview given to Saudi al-Ayam newspaper yesterday, al-Bashir called for activating the joint Arab action in facing the political and economic challenges through enhancing the role of the Arab League and the formation of an urgent defense strategy for defending the Arab interests. "Defusing spots of tension and achieving stability are the Arab region's needs to achieve the overall development," he added.
