Ebeid meets Romanian counterpart on ties

Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid held talks Wednesday evening with his Romanian counterpart Adrian Nastase on enhancing ties and activating cooperation bilateral pacts.
Ebeid arrived in Romania Wednesday at the head of top-level delegation on a three-day visit.
In an arrival statement PM said there were promising opportunities to increase the volume of trade and investment as well as to bolster bilateral economic relations between the two countries.
He said that he was carrying a message from President Hosni Mubarak to President Ion Iliescu.
Ebeid said that Egyptian-Romanian cooperation could cover areas such as the manufacturing of tractors, locomotives, furniture as well as pharmaceutical, and medical supplies and oil and gas.
Meanwhile, Romanian Minister of Economy and Industry Dan Popescu said his country was looking forward to developing trade and economic relations with Egypt.
