Al-Shara confers with Russian deputy FM

Syria's Foreign Minister, Farouk al-Shara received yesterday in Damascus Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Alexander Sultanov and an accompanying delegation on the latest developments in the region particularly in the occupied Palestinian territories and in Iraq.
Al-Shara stressed the importance of unifying all the international efforts to put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people due to the Israeli policy, asserting the necessity for enhancing the role of the UN in finding settlement to the regional issues.
