Mrs. al-Assad and Mrs. Da Silva meet on immigrants issues

Syria's First Lady Asmaa al-Assad met on Wednesday visiting Brazilian First Lady welcoming her in Syria and wishing her good stay.

Talks during the meeting dealt with issues that are related to the role the Syrian Community plays in Brazil in strengthening the cooperation and ties between their original homelands and the immigrating countries.

Mrs. Al-Assad expressed Syria's pride of her people abroad, particularly those who reflect a civilized picture of their homeland. She briefed Mrs. da Silva on the history of Syria throughout the ages and its distinguished cultural place in past and present.

In her visit to the National Museum accompanied by Mrs. Asmaa, the Brazilian First Lady expressed admiration over the history of civilization in Syria and its rich archeological sites.

Later, both paid a visit to the archeological site of al - Tukeiah al-Suleimanya where they saw the Syrian handicrafts industries.
