Mubarak appoints a new governor for the central bank

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak yesterday appointed the former director of the National Bank, Farouq Abd El-Baqi el-Ouqda, as a governor for the Central Bank in succession to Mahmoud Abul Oyoun. who assumed this post in October 2001.
The Egyptian Middle East News Agency MENA announced news on appointing al-Iqda who will continue in his post for four years.
