Libya denies providing money to former Mauritanian President

A Libyan official source on Saturday denied his country to have had provided money to the former President of Mauritania Muhammad Khouna Weld Hedallah, who is being detained on charge of preparing for a coupe.
A high ranking Libyan official, refused to be identified, said "Libya regrets this accusation and getting its name involved in a case which it has no affiliation to," considering these allegations as baseless.
The defense lawyer of Hedallah, who was President of Mauritania between 1980 and 1984, and is a rival for the current President of Mauritania Mu'aweya Wild Taye' in the presidential elections which were held on November 7th, announced that he is accused of getting money from Libya.
Seidi Muhammad, one of Weld Heddallah's sons, strongly denied he had received money from Libya.
