Al-Assad confers with Murphy

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad received on Sunday the US former Assistant Secretary of State for the Middle East Affairs, Richard Murphy.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the peace process in the Middle East, the situation in Iraq and with relations between Syria and the U.S.
