Yemen: another leading figure in al-Qaida arrested
Yemen-USA, Local, 11/29/2003

A high ranking security source in Sanaa announced that the Yemeni authorities arrested a second leading figure from al-Qaida organization, Hadi Dalqam, just two days after announcing the arrest of Muhammad al-Ahdal, who was described as one of the leading figures in Yemen in the organization's leadership.

The security source said that Dalqam is being interrogated by the security forces, but gave no mention to the post the latter occupies in al-Qaida.

The source indicated that American security officers met with al-Ahdal in his prison and asked for interrogating him, stressing that the Yemeni authorities rejected this request.
