Associates to president of the Greater Comoros island detained

Comoros islands police in Moroni detained five persons, close to the President of the Greater Island of Comoros, Abdo Soli al-Baq.

Al-Baq's office said that the three detained persons are three political officials, including the leader of the democratic front, Mustafa Saeed al-Sheikh, the chairman of the follow up committee for reconciliation among Comoros islands federation, Metra Ma'eisha, arrested on Thursday, and the chairman of the socialist party in Comoros, Muhammad Ali Mabalia, who headed for the police center according to a summon but did not return back.

Mabalia is a former candidate for the presidential elections in the island. He later became close to al-Baq. Saeed al-Sheikh is President al-Baq's political advisor is assigned to coordination affairs.

Ma'eisha is the President diplomatic advisor and a former foreign minister. the other two persons are journalist Mawled Sweilhi and the businessman Muhammad al-Hadi Muhammad.
