King Mohammed congratulates leaders of Islamic countries on Aid-Al-Fitr day

On the occasion of Aid-Al-Fitr (end of Ramadan feast) marked Tuesday or Wednesday according to the viewing of the crescent, King Mohammed VI sent messages of congratulations to the leaders of Islamic countries, extending them best wishes of health and happiness and wishes of further progress and prosperity to their people.

"I would like to seize this blessed opportunity to proudly evoke the bonds of friendship and understanding that unite us personally and the cooperation and solidarity ties existing between our two countries and that are meant to ensure for our brother peoples further progress and prosperity and to prepare them to face challenges."

The sovereign, Amir Al-Muminine (commander of the faithful) and chairman of Al-Quds Committee, further renews Morocco's support to the Palestinian people in their peaceful and legitimate struggle to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Asharif as a capital, within international legality and efforts of influential powers of the international community meant to reach a fair, comprehensive and final solution. Such as solution, goes on the message, should guarantee to all people of the region a space of brotherhood, concord and cooperation, far from the pangs of aggression, violence and hatred that are banned by celestial religions, humanitarian ideals and international conventions.

The king also prays God "to assist all brothers, leaders of Arab and Islamic states to fulfil the peoples' aspirations to progress and welfare, ensure an outstanding presence within the international community and an active contribution to universal civilization."

The monarch also calls for active cooperation at the Arab, Islamic and international levels to eradicate the odious terrorism that violates the teachings of tolerant Islam and of all revealed religions and runs counter to humanitarian ideals. A similar appeal was launched for mutual help and for fighting ill-deed, aggression, and all forms of under-development.
