Tunisia, Algeria mark their naval borders
Algeria-Tunisia, Politics, 11/25/2003
Tunisia and Algeria on Sunday exchanged ratified documents on arrangements on marking the naval borders between them signed in February 2002.
The Tunisian official news agency considered this agreement as "important event in the history of Tunisian- Algerian relations "as it came to complete another agreement on marking land borders signed in 1994 following several years of negotiations."
The exchange of documents was made during a meeting made by the Tunisian Foreign Affairs minister, Habib Ben Yahya in Algiers with his Algerian counterpart Abdul Aziz Balkhadem.
The meeting was made on the sideline of Ben Yahya's participation last Saturday in Algiers in a consultation meeting held by the foreign ministers of the Arab Maghreb states federation, in preparation for the European- Maghreb summit for the "Five + Five" group.
